Welcome to stlouissolar.info!
This is just a holding page for a short time.
We will be documenting our solar design, build and production of our solar installation at our home in O'Fallon, MO. This is just West of St. Louis, MO.
As of 1/7/2012 we have signed a contract to have a solar setup installed on the roof of our home. It will be 7-8 kw in size.
Our installation was completed today, 4/18/2012!
5/1--36.4 kwh produced/ pushed 15.3 kwh to Ameren
5/2--44.0 kwh produced/ pushed 18.5 kwh to Ameren
5/3--38.2 kwh produced/ estimating 15 kwh pushed to Ameren
It's been 3 good production days, the last two were hurt a bit by the warmer temperatures. All 3 days had some clouds mixed in with the first being the heaviest.
June's Production Report!
Our system produced 1290kWh for the month of June!
We used 1030 kWh in our home for the month,
meaning we produced 260 more kWh during May than we used.
This is our first month that our electric provider had a good meter on all month.
Our June bill was $0.00 ;)
First Months Production Report!
Our system produced 1225 kWh for the month of May!
We used 913 kWh in our home for the month,
meaning we produced 312 more kWh during May than we used.

Production page is partially working! Still waiting on my inverter map from my installer.
So far in 2 hours we have seen production as high as 6 kw!
Day 2 continues to proide some promissing numbers, over 40 kwh of electric and a peak of 6.6 kw.
We will be using Solarworld 255 panels and Enphase M215 Microinverters.
At this time we are expecting this setup to produce about 9000 kwh per year, that would have covered 70% of our usage from 2011.
Hopefully the system will produce more than quoted and we can reduce our energy usage to match the output of the system.
I plan on monthly reports and am hoping to be able to provide visitors with real time production numbers from our system.
Thanks for stopping by and check back often!
